July Feature Artists:

Shannon Lee
web site
Shannon Lee is the consummate singer/songwriter. Her songs are a personal glimpse into a life lived fully and an exploration of universal themes. Addressing the topics of love, loss, heartache, redemption and family, the stories told in song are as relatable as they are original.

Sparse production lays bare the emotion in the music. Lee’s voice and her piano tell the story without gloss or shine – raw and free of distraction. There is nothing between the music and the listener, allowing the songs to be fully experienced.

A wide range of influences create a unique sound – ranging from the heyday of the 60’s and 70’s singer-songwriter era, to those indie artists who’s music is free of commercial and corporate influence. It creates music that is at once appealing to the average listener while avoiding redundancy and cliché.

Rusty Knox
web site
Coming out of the small southern town of Davidson, NC, Rusty writes music about life, love, loss and rebirth (you may find a couple of songs about mischief and alcohol too).

Traveling across the southeast most of his life and having a very large family has given him the insight and experiences that fill up a songwriter’s journal with poems, ballads, prayers and random confusion…makes for some great songs!

Rob McHale
web site
Host Rob McHale is a North Carolina-based Folk-Americana artist whose songs can take you through a small town, down a dirt road or on an historical journey – and bring you back home again. Rob’s flair for penning historical and social commentary songs has received recognition and awards from American Songwriter Magazine, Woody Guthrie Folk Festival, Dallas Songwriters Association, and Billboard.
